At Lynwood we produce trees of the
highest quality. To ensure this we:
- Source seeds from healthy, well performing
trees. Seeds never come in contact with the
ground and are treated with fungicides before
entering the nursery.
- Select scionwood from superior producing
trees.
- Maintain a nursery environment meeting high
health hygiene standards designed to minimise
the risk of spreading Phytophthora cinnamomi or
other infectious diseases.
- Have an annual independent (AgriQuality)
test for Phytophthora cinnamomi and Pythium.
- Independently test seed and scionwood trees
for Avocado Sun Blotch Viroid.
- Maintain a documented Integrated Pest
Management System where trained scouts monitor
for pests weekly.
- Have a failsafe tracking procedure ensuring
all trees true to type.
- Employ an aggressive "IF IN DOUBT THROW IT
OUT" culling policy.
All seedling rootstock trees will be a minimum of a 10mm stem diameter
(at the soil surface) and 700mm in height. |
